When there is damage to your roof, it can sometimes be difficult to know if you simply need repairs or a roof replacement. There are some things that cannot simply be repaired and will warrant a roofing replacement.

Four Signs That Mean You May Need a Roof Replacement

The following problems will most likely lead to a roofing replacement:

  1. Interior Water Damage – Water spots, streaks, or stains in the attic, walls, or ceiling are strong indications that you have an interior water leak. This is almost always due to a malfunctioning roof. If the leaking or water damage is large enough, a roofing replacement will likely be the solution.
  2. Sagging Roof – Your home’s roofline should be straight and strong. If you can visibly see a sagging or dipping roofline, you will likely need a roofing replacement.
  3. Storm Damage – If a storm has recently hit and you have extensive damage to your roof, it will likely need to be replaced.
  4. Leaks – A leaky roof can often be repaired, but if you have a persistent leak or multiple leaking areas on your roof, a roof replacement will likely be the fix you are looking for.
