Kristopher Dean's Story

Hello & thank you for even offering such a wonderful blessing to someone that has served our country. Today, I'm writing to share my husband Kristopher’s story in an effort to assist our family in need. Kristopher served in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant. He deployed numerous times to Camp Bucca, Kandahar and Takrit to fight in Operation Iraqi Freedom as well as Global War on Terrorism. He was injured in battle and recovered nicely before his honorable discharge. He is now a Master Police Officer for DeKalb County and serves our local community. As you may know, first responders do not make a lot of money and it can certainly be challenging. The men and women that that serve do not do it for the money. As the cost of living goes up, their pay structure does not and in some areas of our country it is very low. I don’t understand it sometimes but I’m grateful he is pursuing a career he is passionate about. The last two years have been incredibly difficult for our family due to the fact I lost my job and we were forced to live on one income. In addition, I found out I was pregnant, we’re expecting our third child next month on July 19th. Unfortunately, we had fallen behind with many of our bills to the point where our water and gas utilities had been turned off due to nonpayment. We struggled to put food on the table and diapers on our toddler. In addition, the mortgage lender had threatened us with foreclosure due to the number of months we have not been able to pay and our credit is now destroyed. As you can imagine, this can put a lot of stress on a marriage and the entire family. Even though I’m pregnant, I’ve been working 3 jobs and my husband has been working two. I’m pleased to say some of our hard work has paid off and last week (June 8th), we were finally able to bring our mortgage current. A few years ago, we purchased our first home using his VA Loan. Our home is older and has extensive wear and damage. We know that our roof will need to be replaced soon as we have several missing shingles and damaged boot flashing due to high winds and storms. I pray that our roof can hold until we’re in a better position financially in order replace our roof. Receiving a new roof would be one of the biggest blessings our family has ever received. It would feel as if a weight has been lifted off us and it would be one less thing we need to worry about. Thank you again for your consideration and allowing to share my husbands story.

I was afraid I'd need a new roof but they came out and and explained what they needed to do to make it last a few more years. Great. Did a fabulous job and so far so good. My only fear was watching them do their job on my high roof. By the way, I sell Real Estate and refer them to my clients too. Honest, dependable and reachable!
